Saturday Nov. 11 : Dr called, Spot is doing fine, she has started trying to put weight on her 'good' leg. The bandages on her other leg are overbalancing her a little, but it is a good that she is trying as there was a little concern about the fracture causing her to not be up & around as soon. Sunday Nov. 12: Dr called again :) Spot is still doing fine, had a litttle bit of a temp today but is up & around, she had a few french fries, and is still putting weight on her 'good' leg. She is scheduled for surgery tomorrow with Dr Blazer and we are hoping ot speak with the Dr before the surgery, but she will certainly call after to let us know how everything is. Monday Nov 13: Surgery
today.... I am nervous about it although I know there is nothing to worry
about. I will post more after I have heard from the Dr.
(around 10 or so) Tuesday Nov 14 : Spoke with Dr Blazer again. She said Spot is looking really good. They are going to pull out the drain today and then keep her one more night for observation, and they anticipate her being able to come home Thursday evening. Hopefully she will get to come home then, or else John won't be able to go on vacation with us. As we are supposed to be flying out at 6:45am on Friday. Even with her coming home Thursday night it will make for a hectic day for the Banks family. Tufts discharge times are from 5-8pm, so it will be leave work, run to Tufts, get Spot, pick up Emilie from Memere's house so she can at least see Spot for a few minutes in the car & at the vet, run to Spot's vet before they close and then to the Mall for Emilie's school book fair! phew, I am tired just thinking about it <g>. John offered to be the one to stay if necessary since vacation = going to my parent's house for Thanksgiving. |
