Friday, March 24
  Yea right...
well, there will be no running tonight, i will be proud of myself if i can make it through the night without crying. 3 wisdom teeth later i am NOT feeling very good. i get more pain pills in 15 minutes and hopefully can then go to sleep. i am absolutely miserable...
my darling daughter made me some yummy ramen soup broth for dinner, so at least i won't waste away during the night.
 
Thursday, March 23
  Day off
today was supposed to be a walk day and tomorrow my day off, but i switched them up, i had a million afternoon errands to run and i can hopefully still walk tomorrow after my trip to the dentist (3 wisdom teeth out under local anesthetic). we will see, if i can't still do my walk, i will just pick back up on saturday or sunday when i am feeling up to it. And on another topic. Hubby got the job and starts Monday, he would have started tomorrow, but i need him to chauffer me to and from the dentist office :)
 
Wednesday, March 22
  Easy day
I took it easy today, only doing about 13 minutes on the treadmill because i knew i would be walking a mile to my daughters school for Family Fun night. Hubby had the car for a job interview and met us at the school. So .82 miles on the treadmill and then about a mile walk to the school. bummed that is wasn't on one of my 'walk' days, but what the heck, any exercise is better than couch time in my pursuit for fitness
 
Tuesday, March 21
  More walking
Today was back to a half hour walk, I walked 1.77 miles today. not to shabby I think. I felt good, and since it was a walk day, I will probably do some stretching/yoga tonight before bed. But still feeling good, and i am pretty sure that is my best distance so far with no running/jogging.
 
Monday, March 20
  OMG running...
So today we were back to run 1 walk 2..
so I started with a 5 minute walk, then started my runs
I did all my runs today at 6mph but took it easy on most of the walks (3-3.5)
in total I did 2.46 miles in 37 minutes (5 minute warm up, 2 minute cool down) i was tired, but not dead after, so that is a good sign.!
 
Sunday, March 19
 
Today was a 30 minutes walk day, so I walked between 3 and 4 mph and did 1.69 miles in 30 minutes, what is good about that?
well, first I didn't feel like I was dying :P and that is farther than I was getting in a half hour walking/jogging when i first started out 4 weeks ago. So another good day :)
 
Saturday, March 18
  Back on Track
Been a few days since I posted, simply because it has been a few days since I hit the gym. I started my program anew since I took so many days off, so today was again ...

Run & Walk
Run 1 min
Walk 2 min
Repeat 10x

I pushed myself on the runs doing 6 of them at 6mph and 5 for the rest. walking I went easy with 3-3.5 mph.
I did 2.22 miles in 32 minutes
SO!! a good day back on track and i am thinking of entering a 5k in early April, with no real goal, other than to finish and to see what a race is like. should be fun, it is in carlsbad and apparently the course runs right along the beach, so worst case scenario, i get to run along the beach in the back of the pack :) by restarting my program today I should be running 8 minutes and walking one by race day, if i can keep up with the 6 mph runs, that puts me in a place to finish the race in about 40 minutes, which last year for that race would have put me in 285th place :) but I am not even going to worry about that, and just focus on getting my feet over the finish line.
 
Tuesday, March 14
 
I am still not feeling too great, i was coughing like mad today, so i took it kind of easy, and did 1.93 miles in my half hour. i didn't feel like going to the gym at all, but once i was there the run wasn't too bad.
 
Monday, March 13
 
OMG well, today was a walking day.. 30 minutes of walking so on the treadmill I did 30 minutes and walked 1.83 miles
I also went out and walked the dog earlier in the day and walked another 1.25 miles then and that was downhill and then back uphill on the way home. So a pretty good workout I think. tomorrow is run 2 min. walk 1 min. so we will see how that goes :)

(i noticed that each time my mileage goes up, it is by exactly one tenth.. odd)

SO my personal goal was to do the walking legs all at no less than 3.5 mph which i did. and then just pushed the treadmill up to whatever i felt comfortable with for the run legs, did a few at 5.5 and a few at 6.0. all in all a great workout and i am feeling great.
 
Saturday, March 11
 
I haven't felt well the last few days so have been taking it easy. I will be heading back to the gym tomorrow though :) and I did jog to the mail box and back, but it isn't really that far.. it is raining though and we have had hail too... ummm hello, we are in southern california.. why is it raining and hailing? it is supposed to be a sunny paradise here :)

OK, it is cold (51) and rainy today, something for which I am not getting much sympathy from my so called 'friends' :P
I was hoping do my 30 min. of walking outside, but looks like it is back to the treadmill for me.

  Starting out
Happy Birthday, Chanel!!

Well, I started my 8 week program that is supposed to by the end of 8 weeks have me comfortably running for a full 30 minutes
Todays schedule:

Walk 2 minutes
repeat 10 times
I managed 1.87 miles in the 30 minutes
