  Bleh
Real life (grocery shopping, errand running) got in the way of running tonight pushing my start time out too far, so i ran a short 1.7 miles because i am afraid of the dark. next time i guess i will just go to the gym if i run into darkness so i can get my full time/distance out of it. Friday i will get an earlier start i hope, otherwise, treadmill time.
 
Monday, October 23
  Hills SUCK
OK so the 5k is probably going to be hilly... so i decided to do my run today on some hills. I am clearly certifiably insane. So for today i headed down the hill by the house instead of around the flatter corner. I managed 2.24 miles in 35 minutes, so still not too shabby, but it showed me the hills make a HUGE difference.

So anyway... i might not finish as fast as i would if it were a nice flat course (and honestly i have no idea what the course is like i just know it is in an area that gets snow in the winter, and grows lilacs) but i will still finish :)

  5k
Well, today i did a 'practice race' going the whole 3.1 miles i will face in my race. I did it in 46 minutes, and while i was dead tired after, i could still move so that is a good sign.. I will do my regualr work outs this week and then another 3.1 next saturday and see how things go

  Friday
Whew! Good news! my hubby ran with me today! so i kicked it back a notch and we still did 2.6 miles in 43 minutes.

I signed up for my first 5k so I am ready to rock, I am really excited and still have 2 weeks to train for it, but i am keeping it simple, my only goal is to cross the finish line.

  Run run as fast as you can
I got a late start tonight so kept it short, i don't like to run by myself after dark so i only did .77 miles in 11 minutes and called it good enough.
 
Monday, October 16
  not too shabby
I have been doing doing a lot of aerobics on excercise TV, probably more than is good for me since i could hardly walk over the weekend. so I am now only doing the aerobics/DDR on tue, thur and sunday when i don't run or at least after I run if i still have the energy in the evenings. I ran short today, only 25 minutes because a) my legs are still hurting and b) it rained on me!! :) So, 1.7 miles today, which is still better than 25 minutes of video games and no miles at all :)

  Once more with feeling...
Yesterday I did some aerobics things on TV, Exercise TV on demand is pretty darn cool....

today i went out for about 40 minutes and did a little over 2.5 miles. hard work, but i feel pretty good. tired and hot, but good.
 
Monday, October 9
  Julian 5k
Well, i decided this weekend if i plan to enter a 5 k in less than a month, i had better get serious about training..
so today i did some aerobics at lunch time and then did a quick run this afternoon. it was pretty warm and the sun was out.
I did about 1.38 miles in 20 minutes, and my knee started to twinge a little, so i headed home.
